Video About Us
This video was designed to showcase the poverty found in Eastern Kentucky. The Water Into Wine Food Pantry opened January 1, 2013 the year after the tornado that devastated the town of Salyersville. During the aftermath of the storm, the church served as a hub of activity for volunteers, feeding, housing, and clothing those who lost all in the storm. It was during this time that God's Food Pantry stepped forward and worked with the Lakefront Church of God congregation to bring about the food pantry. Today, the food pantry serves between 500 and 600 families monthly, hauling nearly a million pounds of food from Lexington, Stanton, Prestonsburg, and Morehead. The program is run completely from donations and volunteer labor. Each month, during the giveaway, nearly 50-70 volunteers assist from different organizations throughout the county and surround counties. If you or your organization would like to donate or volunteer, please call us at 606-349-6301

Neighbors Feeding Neighbors: Farm Fresh Program
This Neighbors Feeding Neighbors: Farm Fresh Program allows local farmers to bring excess fruits and vegetables to the pantry. These items are given a fair market value and a donation receipt is issued to the farmer, who in return can deduct the donation from taxes. These items then are distributed to local families in need. We currently in the summer have several farmers donating fresh country eggs to the pantry.
